Upcoming “Simulated Emotional Experiences” (SEE) Will Guide Children Through Real-World Transitions; Interactive Modules Feature High-End Puppet Characters Helping Kids Master Their “Power Choices” Over Their “Me Choices.”
The highly anticipated Interactive Emotional Readiness Platform from Emoti Labs is set to redefine behavioral support across pediatric waiting rooms, ABA clinics, and classrooms nationwide. Powered by a groundbreaking PedTech architecture, the upcoming platform will invite children to step into high-stakes, real-world scenarios in entirely new ways. Featuring an immersive cinematic world, high-end puppet characters, and active branching-video logic, the platform is designed to deliver high-speed behavioral de-escalation for facilities while giving children the tools to regulate their own nervous systems.
The platform’s core engine is built on Simulated Emotional Experiences (SEE). Rather than providing passive cartoons that simply act as a digital babysitter in a waiting room, SEE modules will place children directly into the exact environmental friction they are about to face—such as sitting in a dentist's chair, preparing for a vaccination, or navigating a loud, sudden transition in a clinic. Throughout the platform, the Lurnsters characters will explore emotional regulation, impulse control, and sensory management in ways little ones can relate to—whether it’s learning to cool down a sudden temper, overcoming anxiety before a medical procedure, or finding the courage to participate.
“Our Interactive Emotional Readiness Platform reimagines behavioral support, inviting children into the action and bringing them hand-in-hand through high-stakes transitions and powerful emotional choices,” said James Catoe, Founder and CEO of Emoti Labs. “Our focus is on delivering true PedTech—providing clinical staff and educators with frictionless, interactive media that prepares a child's nervous system for the real world before a meltdown takes over.”
Each SEE module will feature interactive, visually engaging cause-and-effect pathways that put young users at the center of the action. Featuring the beloved Lurnsters, every narrative is engineered to help kids navigate the critical split-second between a survival-driven "Me Choice" and a regulated "Power Choice."
Highlights from the platform's planned Simulated Emotional Experiences include:
Baby O’s Big Boom (Procedural Anxiety): Baby O represents the sudden, intense explosion of a temper tantrum. In his SEE module, Baby O is sitting in a pediatric exam room waiting for a shot. As his heart races and his anxiety spikes, users must interact with the screen to stop his impulsive "Me Choice" (fighting and yelling) and guide him toward his "Power Choice" (taking a deep breath to blow out the fire).
Calmy’s Quiet Corner (Apathy & Withdrawal): Calmy tackles a massive hurdle for modern kids: digital dependency and social withdrawal. In her SEE module, Calmy is facing a high-stress task transition in an ABA clinic. Children will help her navigate the overwhelming sensory environment by choosing active empathy and stepping back into the real world when it feels exhausting.
Boldy’s Justice Stand (Rigidity & Frustration): Boldy is fierce, but her intense passion for fairness always wins out, making her easily frustrated by changing rules. In her SEE module, Boldy faces a sudden shift in classroom dynamics. Users will help her hit the "pause" button, separating her intense feelings from a destructive reaction.
Ever wonder where the Lurnsters learn to navigate these massive feelings? The platform's rich storytelling infrastructure brings viewers directly into the EmotiVerse. At the center of the action is the Emoti-School, led by the platform’s live-action human educator, Professor, and overseen by the principal and ruler of the realm, Queen Lovey. This immersive lore ensures that the simulations feel like premium, high-end entertainment rather than a clinical exercise, driving deep engagement and trust.
The Interactive Emotional Readiness Platform will also include:
To-camera interactive prompts where characters speak directly to viewers, pausing the video at the exact moment of an emotional spike to ask the child what the character's Next Move should be.
Locked-screen safety features that prevent dysregulated children from accidentally swiping out of the application during a crisis, ensuring a seamless de-escalation tool for shift workers and nurses.
“With skills like physiological grounding and impulse control, children will see how even tough, scary moments—like sitting in a dentist's chair—can be navigated safely,” Catoe added. “We hear time and again from facility directors who want to give their clients emotional readiness tools without the friction of complex medical hardware. This platform is built to meet that exact operational need.”
To ensure universal access upon deployment, Emoti Labs is also developing the Community Readiness Grant. This unique pipeline will allow public school districts to access the entire Lurnsters Platform at zero cost. This model ensures that while private ABA clinics and pediatric hospitals utilize the platform for clinical transitions, children across the local public school system will have free access to the Lurnsters they love, serving as a massive, co-branded community asset.
